Manufacturing Waste and Recycling

Quest continues to expand its portfolio of Fortune 100® clients with recent additions like an iconic American manufacturing brand. The manufacturer of agricultural, construction and forestry equipment chose Quest to manage the waste and recycling programs at three of its plants, including the company’s corporate headquarters, with the intent to gradually deploy a similar program across all U.S. plants. The new account could represent a $50M revenue opportunity to the extent that the program is fully deployed.

Quest designed integrated waste minimization solutions to help the company recycle 75 percent of total waste generated. Quest will manage the safe recycling of cardboard, plastic, metal, drummed waste, food waste, electronic waste and other recyclable materials for the new client. In addition, Quest will also manage the disposal of hazardous waste, solid waste and parts washer needs through the program.

“With this addition to our portfolio of clients, Quest now manages recycling efforts for one of the largest manufacturers in the United States,” said Ray Hatch, Quest’s CEO. “This account strengthens Quest’s position in the industrial sector where we have the unique ability to develop innovative and impactful landfill diversion solutions for customers with complex hazardous waste and recycling needs.”

Quest’s ability to create customized waste and recycling solutions for clients with a variety of waste streams across multiple locations — all with a single point of contact for client support, scheduling and reporting needs — makes it the ideal partner for some of the nation’s largest brands and manufacturers.

To help manufacturers reduce waste as well as their carbon footprints, Quest begins with a series of plant assessments, measuring waste baselines and calculating the company’s current waste management expenditures. The Quest team then identifies various waste streams that can be cost-effectively diverted from landfills. In addition to creating solutions for recyclable materials, Quest provides cost-effective solutions for proper hazardous waste and solid waste. Quest then utilizes it’s nationwide network of fully licensed service providers and facilities to ensure all waste is collected, transported and recycled/disposed of in compliance with federal, state and local laws.
