Interview with Quest CEO Ray Hatch

CEO, Ray Hatch, was recently a guest on PlayMakers Talk Show, a local Dallas-Fort Worth radio show that focuses on business executives and entrepreneurial success stories. In his interview, Mr. Hatch discussed the unique organizational structure and service offerings that set Quest apart.

Mr. Hatch explained that Quest Resource Management Group is an environmental and sustainability management company with no trucks or recycling facilities of its own. Instead of providing specialized services for a limited amount of waste streams, Quest focuses on the client’s individual sustainability needs and develops a comprehensive program to manage all of their waste streams.

“We’re really a solution provider. We’re not a waste company,” said Mr. Hatch.

Quest manages recycling efforts for clients in a variety of industries including retail, automotive, hospitality, food service, manufacturing and more. Offering a host of sustainability services, Quest provides recycling solutions for a wide range waste streams at more than 40,000 client locations across North America.

By leveraging a nationwide network of service providers, Quest is able to manage waste streams for retailers and companies with multiple (even thousands) of locations across the country. Clients then enjoy two key benefits of partnering with Quest: a single vendor point of contact and detailed sustainability reporting.

As a Quest client, “you know what your sustainability progress is,” said Mr. Hatch. You know how many tons you diverted. You know your cost and everything associated with it because you have one provider — that’s us.”
