National Sales Manager – Retail, Restaurant & Grocery

The Ideal Candidate Will Be Able To:

Be responsible for establishing new client relationships, as well as expanding existing client in a specific industry vertical/industry at a national level. Will apply a value-based sales methodology to achieve goals and position for long-term results, by selling consultatively, building account strategies, identifying and developing leads, setting appointments, conducting account research, leading sales calls, and creating relationships that lead to new business opportunities for Quest.

To achieve sales excellence, the National Sales Manager will develop and demonstrate knowledge and skills in several key areas:

Sales Methodology: The Manager of National Sales will apply a value-based sales methodology to achieve goals and position for long-term results, by selling consultatively, building account plans, identifying and developing leads, setting appointments, conducting account research, leading sales calls, and creating relationships that lead to new business opportunities for Quest.

Business and Industry Knowledge: The Manager of National Sales will gather, analyze, and apply business and industry knowledge to understand a client’s business.

Company and Solution Knowledge: The Manager of National Sales must understand Quest, and its people, processes, and solutions; through knowing the Company and exemplifying our vision and values, describing our products and solutions, and optimizing our resources and technology.

Individual Effectiveness: The Manager of National Sales drive business results by leveraging and expanding their personal capabilities and qualities, including initiative, decision-making, planning, and resilience.

Role Competencies

· College degree strongly preferred

· 6 to 10 years proven business-to-business outside sales experience in Fortune 1000 sized companies

· Proven ability and experience at selling on a nationwide basis

· Must be experienced in cultivating relationships at all levels including C-level executives

· Experience in selling environmental services strongly preferred

· Proven experience utilizing consultative sales skills selling solutions and value

· Must be able to travel via airplane regularly. Expected travel is 60% or more

· A strong understanding of the sales cycle required to sell large multi-location accounts

· Highly self motivated

· Demonstrated successes in medium and long business service sales cycles

· Experience utilizing Sales Force Dot Com tool to manage weekly activities and pipeline
